Nodes
Etho Protocol is a blockchain with a distributed IPFS network. The IPFS is managed by nodes, which are available worldwide in 3 tiers:
- Gateway nodes, requiring staking of 30k ETHO
- Master nodes, requiring staking of 15k ETHO
- Service nodes, requiring staking of 5k ETHO
All nodes generate a daily revenue, which is based on the content hosted as well as on the number of nodes in the network. Gateway nodes generate approx 8 ETHO, Master nodes approx 4 ETHO, and Service nodes around 1 ETHO per day.
Node Dashboard
To manage the Etho Protocol Nodes we created a new dashboard with a new and innovative auto-recognition technology. Let us give you a short run down.
Sign Up your ETHO master nodes
To have all nodes you might have in the future we will group them under a user id, which You need to sign up for. Once You sign up and logged in You come to the dashboard.
Dashboard - User Dashboard
Uhh, we are in! If You have installed already some nodes You would see them here and their status. Now, since we will add a first one, we press on "Install a Node". To do it, we need to have a wallet filled with the ETHO amount to stake. Keep that wallet address handy.
Dashboard - Install a Master Node
Paste Your wallet address (it needs to be an address on the ETHO network) containing the staked ETHO. Next, choose the node which You want to deploy. Remember:
- Gateway nodes, requiring staking of 30k ETHO
- Master nodes, requiring staking of 15k ETHO
- Service nodes, requiring staking of 5k ETHO
Then You have below the tailored installation scripts for Debian or Ubuntu. Also, scripts for CentOS/Redhat or Fedora are available. These scripts are pasted into a VPS prepared to host your IPFS node.
Dashboard - Master Nodes online
Once Your node contacts the dashboard, You will see it listed here. For nodes to be able to receive payments, the node needs to be online for 24hrs. Node details will be showing information on the payments.
Easy? Just head over to the new dashboard.
If You need more information on how to set up a VPS, check out the the ETHO documentation for further info.
